Dear Valued Partners and Colleagues,
We are reaching out to you to discuss global topics which are at the forefront of many people’s minds today and to share our insight on topics of concern surrounding the global talks of conflict in today’s political landscape. It has always been our longstanding commitment to expeditiously evaluate situations that could potentially interfere with our supply chain, resulting in our being diligent and well versed in taking a security safety-first based approach to continued production and delivery of quality products and services.
Recently, in response to official visits to Taiwan by members of the US Congress, China’s military exercises in the Taiwan Strait have caused instability, or at least the potential therefor, in neighboring areas. Taiwan has long had close contacts with China in both business and personal relationships. Notwithstanding that fact, different views on Chinese politics have always made it necessary for Taiwan to be committed to its own national defense strength and has, accordingly, in this climate surrounding both sides of the Strait, resulted in Taiwan firmly holding its position.
Taiwan has proven itself to be independently important to the global supply chain of semiconductors and other integrated circuit products impacting the global economy generally and China’s economy specifically. The increase in cross-Strait tension is not what countries such as the United States, or the rest of the world for that matter, want to see. That said, Taiwan’s economy is built on a relationship of global cooperation, resilience, resourcefulness, trust and openness. Should there be a strike upon Taiwan, the gains will be futile, and Taiwan will continue to thrive in an ample abundance of prosperity, rich culture, and continued long standing strong relationships with the continuation of its global trade relationships.
United is steadfast and deliberate in our momentum to provide quality products and services to valued partners and customers around the world. We continue to operate and sell in nearly 45 countries around the world. We are actively growing, expanding, and are increasing our number of suppliers in order to diversify our production resources. We continue to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring risk mitigation across our global organization and are fast acting and responsive to our customer’s needs. Our goal is to continue to work towards building a strong future built upon thoughtfully crafted and quality designed products and services. Our mission is unchanged and it is with deliberate diligence and gratitude with which we care at each step, to move forward strongly and resiliently.
Sincerely,
Jason Lin, Chairman and CEO
