On behalf of The Journal of Orthopedic Excellence and Innovation (JOEI) and United Orthopedic, we are excited to share details for the upcoming ‘Open Mic Zoom Topic Session, to be held on Wednesday August 21, 2024 @ 8:00PM Eastern.
The topic is “Hinge-Knee Prosthesis for Primary or Revision Patients: Where’s The Line?”, and will feature surgeon led conversation on complex primary arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, and the use of ‘CCK’-style revision vs. Hinge-Knee TKA Systems. Surgeons will debate topics including:
- Where ‘is the line’ between using a ‘CCK’-style revision knee vs. a hinge-knee prosthesis?
- Would you ever use a hinge-knee on a primary patient?
- Hinge-knees are rarely used. if there was a better hinge knee system, would you use it more often?
- What are the biggest challenges intra-operatively when using a hinge-knee system?
- What tips, tricks and technical pearls have you learned over the years?
